Lately the summer activities took over and I only been doing simple and fast sewing projects. Except a special occasion dress for my mom. I had this left over fabric from Eva's birthday outfits and I though I should use them for her. So I made 3 pairs of leggings of various length and 2 dresses she can mix and match.
I finished the one with the green tulle before the one with pick and she was crying over it so much because it is not pink. Her pink obsession is getting really frustrating. But of course I made her a pink skirt too...
The green one is my favorite though:
Andrei did a good part himself for a new pair or PJ pants. I loved seeing him cut his own pants and wearing them proudly later that day:
I've also bought some new sheets fabric and made 4 new bedsheets to not let them add to my always growing stash. I still have some of them left over as my plan was to make pillowcases as well and I didn't got to that:
A colleague needed a new backpack for his son's changes at kindergarten and I offered to make him a simple one:
I showed real restrain going into fabric shops and even leaving empty handed at times... Sewing 101 - Shopping 71.

Fast little bag for Eva
A small fast little bag for Eva complementing her recent additions to her wardrobe. I used the same construction as the usual cosmetic bags that I sometimes make except I shaped a bit differently the usual rectangle. I has a big elastic pocket in the front and a small zipper one on the inside.

More and more colors needed for my clutch collection...
I am so happy I did a little clean-up in my scraps box. Now I have a few new clutches in my collection. There are details about my sewing process in one of my prevuious posts.
This one is from a beautiful quilting cotton and it is my new buttons holder:
The white Ikea fabric ones have already been gifted. The scraps are from my beautiful reversible retro apron.
The others are from quilting cotton as well and are still waiting for their mission.
I just love all this fabrics. You can't help smiling looking at them.

Christmas tree + snowflakes bag & some new make-up bags ( tutorial included )
They are so simple to do and such a nice gift as well. I handed out a lot of this to my friends and family so far and they all seams to love them and use it.
All you need is 2 rectangles of fabric and 2 of facings, 1 zipper and some scraps:
Sew the craps at the zipper ends ( fabric on the front lining on the back ):
Sew one rectangle of fabric & one of lining to the zipper :
And then the other ones :
And now is time to close :
It is important to get the extra folding from the zipper craps in the lining not the fabric:
Trim the corners :
Don't forgert to leave a small opening in the lining and turn it:
Close that as well after turning :
And you are done:
Here are some more of those I made in the past:
And my old holidays bag:
