Abstract print top - Vogue 8771

vogue 8771
I have made this top 3 times before for the PR wardrobe challenge - here -  and love it and wore it a lot but the jersey used is a bit to much for the summer that is finally here so I decided to do it again in a lighter fabric.  This is such an easy pattern and it goes together so fast that I really love it and will probably be lots of this one in the future as well.
I really love the print and the black neck binding looks really neat but the fabric is not as stretchy as the previous one and it seams it isn't as comfortable and I made it a size down as well now that I don't have that big belly. So I will probably do a new one soon.

Lots of jersey pants - very easy Ottobre 03-2010-10

After doing the wardrobe contest for both me and Eva I was preparing for doing a wardrobe for my son. This patch of very easy jersey pants were just the warm up after delivery. My son needed lots of easy pants for summer and to spare since now the pampers is out but every once in a while there are some small accidents. i 1st wanted to buy them them but I couldn't find what I wanted in stores at least not at a decent price to not wink at a bulk purchase... so once again I start going through my Ottobre Magazines. By now they are my favorite when it comes to kids. I found this design ( it is a girl design but ... ) #10 "lime jersey pants" - 3/2010 . It was just an easy pattern and construction that I jumped at the opportunity and made 10 pairs.

I also liked that I could use a lot of my knits and see how they wear before decide what project to use the fabric for.
Some of this are made twice and there are some simple gray ones that he was wearing at the moment so didn't got a photo.
They may not be much but they are very fast to sew and very comfortable to wear so I am very pleased with this project.

My 1st shirt for my little man - Ottobre 03-2010-11

Ottobre 03-2010-11
I love shirts on boys , specially on my boy and I have tons of fabrics that will make great shirts but I always postpone it. I was probably scared. A shirt always seemed such a complicated garment. But it is not. I cannot believe how fast i was able to put this together and how great it looks.
Did I told you I love Ottobre designs for kids more and more each day. I was so scared so shirts I even read instructions this time and followed them.

Looks quite well done to me. Way better tat I expected from the 1st try:
And it was all worth it. My little boy looks great in the shirt and he sure enjoys playing in it.

Eva is enjoying her wardrobe

Eva arrived on 11 May and we are home for more then 2 weeks now. We are getting to know each other and she is a very easy child so far. We got a little scared the 1st night home when she decided to cry all night but we hardly hear her ever since. I guess she only wanted to show us what she can do if we don't behave. I am also very happy that the wardrobe I sewed for her is in her everyday use and I wanted to share with you all some of this joy.
The wrap bodysuit and footed pants are a really good combo to use  and fit her perfectly. We will outgrow them soon but we make the most out of it until then.
We tried a little bit on the dresses as well but the weather is not that hot yet.
We start getting some sunny days as well:
So many more combinations to go:

Baby accessories

Baby accessories
This  should be my last day before the baby girl comes. Starting yesterday I worked on some accessories to completed the wardrobe I worked on. All the patterns are self drafted after some RTW from the boy. Enjoy the little things:

The green gingham print is probably the one working with most of my items done so far:
The chevron and green contrast are probably my favorites:
The owls and the flower print has their own pants + bodysuit to work with :
The last 3 pairs of booties are quilting cotton and they were started a while back. I just managed to finish them now with the rest:
