Long sleeved dresses for my daughter - from earlier this year

The first half of this year I have done very little sewing and being so little I didn't made posts of the new makes so I will put them all here - 3 long sleeved dresses for my daughter for winter / spring.

Tow of them are based on  Ottobre  3/2018 #10 - totally love the front and back ruffles and added sleeves from other patterns.

This one is in a rayon fabric . Love the print and slight texture:

The second one is a polka dot jersey:

The last one is a glitter jersey she picket from my stash and insisted I should make something for her. She went to a few acting workshops for kids and somehow she was determined to dress up for those so she keeps asking me to make dresses :

From the jersey fabric of the polka dots dress I also made a Vogue 8634

More fun with stripes- fairy wings jumpsuit

 I really liked the hearts jumpsuit I made for Eva and i wanted to make one with 3/4 leg length and since this month theme is stripes and polka dots and Eva already had 2 dots dresses made for her I thought it might be fun to play with some stripes this time.
 I decided to use the same upper part from Ottobre  3/2018 #10 - fairy wings dress and the leggs from Ottobre 3/2015 #14 - Passerine Overall.

I replaced the back keyhole with an exposed red zipper and played a bit with stripes in the front:

 I also added a vent and a bow to the hem.
 I made the wings larger than the pattern.
 It didn't turned out as great as in my mind but I think is kind of cute and fun:

Fairy wings jumpsuit for little miss

  Jumpsuits are still my favorite outfit for Eva and she recently added hearts high on her favorites list.So I bought one meter of hearts print on navy rayon with a really nice touch and drape and decided to make a new jumpsuit.
  One of this days Eva told me that she can't take the baby out of her belly if she wears a jumpsuit so I might have to take it easy with those!
  I had this new fairy wings dress traced out and decided it might be fun to try use that bodice for the jumpsuit.

This is actually cut and finished before the polka dots dress version so this is just as I traced it without any modification other then the doubled layer on wings so there is no wrong side to them.

Polka dots and strawberry girl - little miss fairy wings dress

I am so excited about the stripes and polka dots contest and I really want to make an effort and sew a few items for it. Polka dots are one of my favorite print for Eva and stripes are the most expressive when sewing.
  I decided to start with some easy projects to warm up and add a few dresses for Eva's summer wardrobe.
  I really loved the fairy wings dress in the summer Ottobre this year and I had it treced for a while on paper but still waiting to be used so I used it.

I had about 1 meter of this lovely fabric. it is pure cotton slightly lighter and more drapier the quilting cotton but not much.
  The design is a bit boxy! I decided to change the skirt for a 2 bigger ruffles. I made the "wings" wider too .
  I was considering replacing the central front panel with a strawberry girl print :

Eva definitely like the print better and I liked the dots so decided to go with a 3rd option and used a frame applique over the dots panel:

I used an etsy design available here ... a bit more pricey the others but I thought it was really cute so decided to go with it. It isn't exactly optimized for applique but it worked for me.
  I doubled the front and back central panel for a more clean look and to hide any threads from embroidery. I also used self bias for armhole. Love the look this way:

 Used a button in the back instead of the tie:

   The pink and green went great together after all and reminded me of another dress I made when Eva was not yet born and she wore on her first days out:

I can hardly believe she was that little once... And now the little miss in her new dress:
