Lately the summer activities took over and I only been doing simple and fast sewing projects. Except a special occasion dress for my mom. I had this left over fabric from Eva's birthday outfits and I though I should use them for her. So I made 3 pairs of leggings of various length and 2 dresses she can mix and match.
I finished the one with the green tulle before the one with pick and she was crying over it so much because it is not pink. Her pink obsession is getting really frustrating. But of course I made her a pink skirt too...
The green one is my favorite though:
Andrei did a good part himself for a new pair or PJ pants. I loved seeing him cut his own pants and wearing them proudly later that day:
I've also bought some new sheets fabric and made 4 new bedsheets to not let them add to my always growing stash. I still have some of them left over as my plan was to make pillowcases as well and I didn't got to that:
A colleague needed a new backpack for his son's changes at kindergarten and I offered to make him a simple one:
I showed real restrain going into fabric shops and even leaving empty handed at times... Sewing 101 - Shopping 71.

A little color to my home
A little while ago before Eva come home we had to take the crib from Andrei and prepare it for her. So we got him a new bad from Ikea. To make it more attractive I made him some really fun bedsheets as well.
He used to have some fun ones for the crib as well:
The bed is extendable. Now it is set to 1.3 m but can go up to 2m and the mattress had 3 parts as well: one to the current size and 2 small ones that can be added later:
Since we don't use them for now I made him a small couch out of it:
They all had such a huge success that I wanted to make him another broadsheet so when I stumbled upon this aphabet fabric I bought it right away:
Here is the new set :
The bed-sheet has an elastic hem to make sure it stays put:
It was so fun watching him enjoy it that I wanted one for my own bed:
The pillows are closed with a hidden zipper. I like them a lot like that:
And to commit my room more to the new violet-pick theme I made a new cover for the bad tapestry and new curtains:

Home deco - small invasion of white polka dots on yellow
I love yellow and there is always so much you can sew for your home. So this weekend I did a little bit of sewing for my ironing table and for my chair. Is not much but it brings a lot of color and joy into the room.

Sweet dreams little Anthony! - Baby blanket
I have been away from my sewing machine lately but I am happy I was still able to finish this baby blanket for a friend of mine who just gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. I had so many quilting cottons stashed that I had a hard time deciding what to use. I wanted something cute and yet easy to sew since I didn't had much time at hand and I initially intended to finish it before the baby came... Even with the easy project I still missed the deadline and now I am waiting for a new opportunity to bring in my gift for the little one.
The pictures are blocks from My Baby's Day fabric from Elizabeth Studios and they are simply amazing. It took me a while to settle for the background fabric but blue was the color to go for boys and yellow was matching the blocks borders. I am still not sure if it was the most fortunate choice but I think it is cute in the end.
The back is a dino printed cotton since the mother loves dinosaurs.
