Yellow and black polka dots circle skirt returns

 It seems that this skirt had a bit of the success so I was presented with the opportunity to make another. There are so many ideas and possibilities out there that it didn't made sense to do it the same. For this one I used lace tape for the lower hem and embroidered tulle for the waistband decoration. Here is how it turned out.

I will start the blog with this skirt that I made for a  spring skirt contest on Lucru De Mana forum ( won 1st prize). I just liked the fabric from the first moment I saw it. I did a circle skirt with some details on the waist band to make it more personal. The lower edge is finished with bias tape. I wanted the skirt to be nice on the inside as well so I went with a tulle decorated underskirt. The flowers are appliques done with the embroidery machine. I went all in so I also did a small frame purse, a necklace and I added a bow of same fabric to a simple black shirt. I will let the pictures to tell more of the story.
