My sewing this summer was very erratic. I hardly managed to get a few things done and even less pictures and reviews. Is summer and the focus in on small trips, kids and putting a sewing room together. The last task is progressing very slowly but I can't wait to have it done and sew in a more proper space. I have this shirt done for more then a month and I hardly have any pictures in it.
It is a relatively new design form Lekala that I loved from the 1st moment I saw the drawing lines. You can download it here:
I was happy it was a lot easier then it looked at 1st for me. It is my 1st attempt of doing this kind of neck line so I was a bit nervous about it and I had to google some videos a bit but in the end it went together better then I hoped.
I am so happy I finally managed to some some of the many many pieces of quilting cotton that I've been collecting. I love the colors on this one and is is so nice and easy to make it work colorful solid bottoms.
I wasn't very happy with the top when I first finished it. I had a not so nice gaping and it really annoyed me a lot:
But I just hand sewed a bit under and it solved the problem. Now is one of my favorite tops since I love the fabric and the design lines. It's still a bit to large but that not bothering me any longer. Over all I am quite proud of it.
